Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted several significant events over the past 24 hours.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa engaged in diplomatic communications by sending written messages to both the President of the UAE and His Highness the Amir of Qatar. In a related development, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister received and met with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who is set to undertake an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Deputy Prime Minister also held a reception for the Pakistani Prime Minister, illustrating the strengthening of bilateral ties.
The Prime Minister's Office announced that the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan will embark on an official visit to Bahrain, signaling growing diplomatic relations between the two nations. Additionally, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the annual ceremony of the 2025 Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, while HH Shaikha Jawaher bint Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa graced the opening of an art exhibition under the patronage of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister also received the 2023-2024 National Audit Office Annual Report and issued Edict (71) of 2025. The Ministerial activities included the Finance Minister meeting with AirAsia's Executive Chairman and the Information Minister's participation in the 55th session of the Arab Information Ministers Council in Cairo, where a meeting with the Arab League Secretary General was held.
Further engagements saw the Youth Minister chairing a committee meeting on youth empowerment, and the Transportation Minister participating in the 34th International Maritime Organization General Assembly. The Social Development Minister met with the German Ambassador, while the Justice Ministry and the European Union Bureau signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to enhance scientific and professional collaboration.
In economic developments, the Industry Ministry's decision to allow global firms to market and sell property in areas open to foreign ownership marks a significant shift. Meanwhile, the CEO of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority participated in a UN high-level meeting on combating human trafficking. Bahrain also launched ten new government land investment opportunities at Cityscape Bahrain 2025, showcasing its commitment to economic growth and development.
