Bahrain Chairs 37th GCC Postal Committee Meeting via Video Conference

Manama: As part of the Kingdom of Bahrain's presidency of the 46th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Fatima Abdulla Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Post at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, chaired the 37th meeting of the GCC Postal Committee. The meeting was held via video conference with the participation of representatives from member states and the GCC General Secretariat.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Dhaen reiterated Bahrain's commitment to supporting joint Gulf initiatives to develop the postal sector, strengthen cooperation and coordination among member states, promote the exchange of expertise and best practices, improve postal services, and keep pace with developments in the sector.

The meeting reviewed and approved recommendations from the GCC postal committees, discussed initiatives to develop postal products and services, strengthen postal integration among member states, and examined joint procurement mechanisms, proposals to improve postal operations, and GCC efforts to ensure business continuity under current circumstances.
