Bahrain Bourse Leaders Visit Kuwait to Boost Investment Ties

Kuwait:Yusef Abdulla Al Yusef, Chairman of Bahrain Bourse, and Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Bourse, embarked on a strategic visit to Kuwait. They met with leading asset and investment portfolio managers, as well as representatives from several Kuwait-based brokerage firms.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit is part of Bahrain Bourse's Capital Market Development Plan 2026-2028, known as "Elevate." The plan aims to diversify market offerings, deepen liquidity, streamline market operations, and enhance the Kingdom's capital markets infrastructure, aligning with regional and international best practices.

The primary goal of the visit was to strengthen engagement with key stakeholders in Kuwait's investment community, showcase investment opportunities in Bahrain's capital market, and explore ways to increase participation by Kuwait-based institutional investors in securities listed on Bahrain Bourse.

During discussions with several brokerage firms, Bahrain Bourse's delegation explored opportunities for collaboration and expertise exchange. Additionally, they examined mechanisms to facilitate access for Kuwait-based investors to Bahrain's capital market. These efforts are intended to stimulate trading activity, increase liquidity, and support greater integration among Gulf Cooperation Council capital markets.

The visit underscores Bahrain Bourse's commitment to advancing the objectives of the "Elevate" Strategic Plan through proactive engagement with regional investors, enhancing the attractiveness of Bahrain's capital market, and strengthening cooperation and integration with Gulf and regional capital markets.
