New York:Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, met with Javier Martnez-Acha, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Panama, at the United Nations Headquarters.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Bahrain, the meeting occurred on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. The ministers reviewed the friendship and cooperation between their countries, focusing on strengthening and broadening bilateral ties to support shared interests.
They also discussed regional developments, including disruptions to maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab Al Mandab, and their impact on international trade and the global economy. The conversation included efforts to enhance regional security and stability, as well as exploring opportunities for cooperation during their terms on the UN Security Council. The ministers exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Ambassador Jamal Fares Al Rowaiei, Permanent Representative of Bahrain to the United Nations, attended the meeting.
