Manama: Dr. Ali bin Fadhel Al Buainain, Attorney General, stated that the Kingdom of Bahrain has developed an advanced legal and judicial system founded on the rule of law, justice, equality, and the protection of rights and freedoms.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Buainain emphasized in a statement for World Law Day, observed on September 13, that Bahrain's ongoing development of legislative and judicial frameworks signifies its commitment to adapting to change, fortifying institutional strength, safeguarding society, and bolstering confidence in the justice system.
Dr. Al Buainain outlined the Public Prosecution's pivotal role in the criminal justice system, which includes case investigations, initiation of criminal proceedings, and prosecution in courts. This role ensures law enforcement, societal protection, and legal safeguards for all involved in legal proceedings.
He stressed the necessity of continuous development of working mechanisms, enhancement of judicial specialization, and the adoption of modern technologies to improve efficiency, speed up procedures, and tackle emerging challenges.
The Attorney General noted that judicial efficiency relies on ongoing development and adaptability to rapid changes in crime patterns and legal transactions. Strengthening the specialization of the Public Prosecution, developing judicial tools, and expanding cooperation and expertise exchange with counterpart judicial authorities were also highlighted as crucial elements.
Dr. Al Buainain pointed out that the Kingdom's advancement in its legal and judicial system aligns with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the sustained support from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in developing the justice system and enhancing institutional efficiency.
He reaffirmed the Public Prosecution's dedication to performance enhancement and the strengthening of institutional and judicial cooperation to uphold the rule of law, achieve justice, and protect rights and freedoms.
