Ambassador to Egypt: HM King’s Visit to Egypt Reinforces Strategic Partnership

Manama: Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, affirmed that the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Egypt, and the summit held with His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, reflected the depth of the longstanding ties between the two countries and the shared commitment of both leaderships to further strengthen the Bahraini-Egyptian strategic partnership.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ambassador stated that the Bahraini-Egyptian summit is the culmination of a long history of close coordination and consultation between the two leaderships. She reaffirmed their shared visions on various Arab, regional, and international issues, and the two countries' commitment to continuing joint efforts that enhance security, stability, and development in the region, serving the higher interests of the Arab nation.

She added that the discussions held by His Majesty the King, with HE President El Sisi, reflected the level of mutual trust and deep understanding that characterises Bahraini-Egyptian ties. These discussions resulted in both sides emphasising the importance of continuing to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various political, economic, investment, trade, and development fields, to fulfill the aspirations of the two countries' leaderships and achieve prosperity and well-being for their peoples.

Ambassador Zainal noted that the challenges and rapid changes in the region underscore the importance of continued consultation and coordination between the Kingdom and Egypt, given their pivotal role in supporting joint Arab action, consolidating the principles of dialogue and peaceful solutions, and preserving the security and sovereignty of Arab states. This contributes to achieving security, stability, peace, and sustainable development for the peoples of the region.

She affirmed that Bahraini-Egyptian ties, under the leadership of His Majesty the King and HE President El Sisi, are witnessing continuous development at all levels. These ties have become a model for Arab relations based on mutual respect, shared destiny and visions, and effective partnership in confronting regional and international challenges.

The ambassador said the visit represents a new step in strengthening Bahraini-Egyptian cooperation, reflecting the commitment of the leaderships of both countries to build on existing achievements, further enhance cooperation and coordination, advance shared interests, contribute to security and stability in the Arab region, and reinforce joint Arab action.
