Manama: Fawzia Zainal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, led the Kingdom's delegation at the 52nd session of the Arab Labour Conference in Cairo.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the conference addressed a variety of strategic, financial, and technical issues aimed at fostering Arab cooperation in labour and economic and social development. Key among these discussions was the Director General's report titled "Sustainable Economic Growth: Towards Comprehensive and Equitable Social Development in Arab Countries." The conference also reviewed the Arab Labour Organization's achievements projected for 2025, and examined reports from the Committee on Trade Union Freedoms and the Committee on Arab Women's Employment. The implementation of the Arab Vision 2045 was also on the agenda.
Moreover, the conference agenda included a follow-up on the resolutions from the previous 51st session, a review of the Organization's Governing Body resolutions, the Economic and Social Council outcomes, and discussions on financial planning and the draft budget plan for 2027-2028.
Participants also explored several technical themes, such as "Climate Change and Its Impact on the Working Environment" and "Start-ups: Promising Opportunities Amid Digital Transformation," aiming to develop unified Arab perspectives that advance development and address labour market challenges.
