Alimony Fund Board Evaluates Plans for Financial Sustainability and Service Enhancement

Manama: Dana Khamis Al Zayani, Undersecretary for Courts, Family Reconciliation, and Alimony at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments and Chairperson of the Alimony Fund Board, chaired a recent meeting of the board to review developments and discuss plans aimed at strengthening the fund's financial sustainability and enhancing services for beneficiaries.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Zayani emphasized the necessity of improving the fund's procedures and services. She highlighted the importance of strengthening coordination with relevant entities to expedite the processing of applications, enhance service efficiency, and support the sustainable disbursement of alimony to eligible beneficiaries.

The board also examined the Alimony Fund's humanitarian and social role in assisting eligible families. The fund plays a crucial role in ensuring the continued payment of alimony when it cannot be collected through normal procedures, thereby contributing to family and social stability.

Additionally, the meeting focused on measures for the periodic assessment of beneficiary cases, verifying continued eligibility, and following up on the status of respondents. This is to be done in coordination with relevant government entities to enhance the efficient management of the fund's financial resources, ensuring they are directed to eligible beneficiaries.
