Accra:Southern Governorate His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Southern Governor, has announced the dates for the 2026-2027 camping season. The season is scheduled to run from November 25 to March 25, 2027, with registration opening at the start of the season via the "Khayem" initiative on the Southern Governorate app.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the announcement was made during a coordination meeting chaired by the governor, which focused on reviewing preparations for the upcoming season. The meeting included discussions on security, environmental, and organizational measures, with participation from Ministry of Interior officials and representatives from relevant service providers and private entities.
The governor emphasized the importance of adherence to designated camping areas, regulations, and instructions to ensure public safety and environmental protection. He also stressed the need for coordination among relevant authorities, awareness campaigns, and environmental initiatives in collaboration with the Southern Area Municipality.
His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali praised the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their efforts in promoting security, stability, and community partnership. Additionally, he expressed appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his ongoing support of youth and community initiatives, including the camping season.
