Manama:Zeyad Adel Darwish, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, led the 12th remote meeting of the Committee of Undersecretaries of Ministries of Social Affairs and Social Development from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This meeting was conducted under the Kingdom of Bahrain's presidency of the 46th GCC session.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the gathering included undersecretaries from various GCC countries, along with representatives from the GCC Secretariat-General and the Executive Bureau of the GCC Council Labour and Social Affairs Ministries.
Darwish emphasized the significance of ongoing collaboration and coordination among member states. The aim is to bolster efforts in advancing social development systems, sharing expertise, and enhancing integration within social policies and programs.
The meeting covered agenda items concerning Joint Gulf Action, monitored the implementation of previously approved decisions, plans, and programs, and explored various topics of mutual interest related to social fields, coordination, and cooperation.
