GCC Legislative Councils Delegation Visits Bahrain for Parliamentary Exchange

Manama:The General Secretariat of the Council of Representatives received a delegation from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries' Shura, Representatives, and National Assembly councils during an official visit to Bahrain. This visit is part of a joint parliamentary exchange program aimed at enhancing institutional cooperation and sharing parliamentary expertise among the secretariats-general of the GCC legislative councils.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit underscores a commitment to strengthening cooperation among the administrative and technical bodies that support legislative work within the GCC councils. The delegation aimed to learn about specialized experiences and institutional practices that contribute to developing parliamentary performance and improving support services for legislative authorities.

During their visit, the delegation explored the General Secretariats advancements in digital transformation and modern technology applications in parliamentary work. They were presented with smart technological systems and solutions that support parliamentary and administrative operations, as well as the key projects and programs launched by the Council of Representatives General Secretariat in this domain.

Additionally, the delegation toured the Council of Representatives Museum, where they learned about significant historical milestones in Bahrain's legislative and parliamentary history. The exhibits and artifacts showcased the development of Bahrains democratic experience and documented its national parliamentary heritage.
