Etihad Rail Passenger Service to Launch Between Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Fujairah

Abu Dhabi:Etihad Rail is set to officially launch its passenger train service tomorrow, connecting Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Fujairah as part of the United Arab Emirates' national rail network.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the inauguration marks a new phase of expansion for Etihad Rail, aiming to connect more cities and regions across the country. In preparation for the launch, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan traveled aboard the train from Abu Dhabi to Dubai.

Tickets for the service are available via the Etihad Rail mobile application, website, and ticket vending machines at stations. Fares start at AED39 for Comfort Class and AED109 for Premium Class.

In Dubai, the Etihad Rail station is linked to the Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station by a pedestrian bridge, facilitating a direct transfer to the Dubai Metro. The service is integrated with Dubai's Nol system, allowing passengers to use a single QR code for booking Etihad Rail journeys and public transport services, including train, Metro, Tram, and bus.

Etihad Rail Mobility, a joint venture between Etihad Rail and Keolis, operates the passenger services. The partnership leverages international expertise in railway operations and national transport management capabilities to enhance service quality and provide a world-class passenger experience.
