Manama: Mahmood Matrook, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Care and Rehabilitation at the Ministry of Social Development, received Asmaa Shalabi, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Matrook affirmed the Ministry of Social Development's commitment to enhancing cooperation and coordination with UNDP and benefiting from international expertise and practices in developing social policies and programmes to support development efforts in the Kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed the services and programmes provided by the Ministry of Social Development to various beneficiary groups, as well as topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in social and development domains.
For her part, Shalabi commended Bahrain's development in social and development domains, affirming the commitment to continuing cooperation and exchanging expertise in support of shared objectives.
