Manama: Ambassador Dr. Yusuf Abdulkarim Bucheeri, Director-General of Legal Affairs and Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, engaged in discussions with a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The delegation was led by Asmaa Shalaby, the UNDP Resident Representative in the Kingdom of Bahrain, alongside Filippo De Carpegna from the United Nations Regional Office in Amman.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was also attended by Ambassador Dr. Arwa Al Sayed, Chief of the Human Rights Affairs Sector. Ambassador Bucheeri commended the existing cooperation level between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UNDP and acknowledged the Programme's contributions in development, governance, and institutional development.
During the discussions, both parties explored avenues for strengthening cooperation and joint coordination. They emphasized the exchange of expertise and the importance of learning from international experiences and practices. The meeting also highlighted opportunities to leverage digital solutions and modern technologies to advance institutional work and enhance efficiency.
Both sides agreed on the significance of ongoing coordination and the sharing of expertise to foster further collaboration.
