Manama: The Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) convened its third meeting of 2026, with Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, presiding over the session. Attended by board members and Eman Faisal Janahi, Executive Director of the BIPD, the meeting focused on discussing the Institute's programmes, plans, and forthcoming initiatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Rumaihi highlighted the pivotal role of the BIPD in supporting His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's vision. This vision encompasses strengthening national efforts and enhancing political awareness among all societal segments, thereby fostering informed and responsible participation and reinforcing the values of citizenship and national identity.
Dr. Al Rumaihi also reiterated the Institute's dedication to evolving its programmes and initiatives to align with the requirements of the current phase. This evolution aims to bolster the BIPD's capacity to fulfill its national mission of promoting political and constitutional awareness, enhancing awareness of rights and responsibilities, and preparing national talent for active engagement in political development.
The Board of Trustees assessed the programmes and activities that the BIPD executed from January to August of the current year. These included training and awareness programmes, events, and initiatives targeting various societal sections. The discussion also covered the outcomes, participation levels, and benefits of these initiatives in achieving the Institute's strategic objectives.
Additionally, new initiatives and updates on programmes planned under the Institute's 2026 strategy were reviewed, with a focus on preparation for their implementation. The Board stressed the importance of ensuring that content and programmes address the needs of target groups and reflect national development efforts.
The board examined agenda items and recent developments, taking necessary decisions to support the planned progress of work.
