HRH the Crown Prince Issues Edict to Reconstitute Mumtalakat Board

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB), announced the issuance of Edict (2) of 2026, which reconstitutes the Board of Directors of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat).

According to Bahrain News Agency, the newly reconstituted board will be chaired by His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy. The board will include key figures such as the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, and the Adviser for Political and Economic Affairs at the Court of the Crown Prince. Additionally, the Chief Executive Officers of both the Economic Development Board and Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company will serve as board members. The board is further strengthened by the inclusion of Khalid Amro Al Rumaihi, Samer Majid Al Jishi, and Elham Abdullah Hassan.

The edict specifies that the board members will serve a four-year term. It further states that the edict will come into effect immediately upon its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
