HM King Addresses Nation on Start of 2026-2027 Academic Year

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued an address on the occasion of the start of the 2026-2027 academic year and the return to in-person learning across all educational institutions. His Majesty extended best wishes to students, teachers, and parents for an academic year filled with excellence and achievement.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HM the King noted that Bahrain had faced exceptional circumstances following the Iranian attacks that targeted several civilian facilities and vital infrastructure, necessitating the activation of distance learning to ensure the safety of all. He commended the measures taken by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which ensured the continuity of the educational process and prevented any disruption to students' learning.

His Majesty praised the efforts of administrative, teaching, and technical staff at educational institutions in maintaining the continuity of education through the educational portal. He highlighted the success of the pioneering Schools of the Future project, launched in 2005 as a major step towards digital enablement.

His Majesty extended thanks to parents for their cooperation and continued support for their children. He also commended the national spirit demonstrated by the people of Bahrain through documents of loyalty and support, as well as those issued by national institutions and community organizations, which serve as a clear testament to their national belonging and unwavering commitment to the stability of their homeland.
