Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Simon Martin, Charg© d'Affaires of the United Kingdom to Bahrain. The meeting focused on reviewing and enhancing the strategic relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom. Discussions centered on expanding bilateral cooperation under existing agreements, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement, to support shared interests and objectives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the talks also explored prospects for further cooperation and coordination through their membership in the United Nations Security Council. Both parties reviewed the latest regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of ensuring freedom of international navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Additionally, they exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Shaikha Al Anood bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Acting Chief of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
