Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, strongly condemned the renewed Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates with a drone and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with ballistic missiles.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Speaker Al Musallam stated that the attacks constitute a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries and a clear breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, UN Security Council Resolution 2817, and the principles of good neighbourliness.
In cables to Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC) of the United Arab Emirates, and Mazen Turki Al Qadi, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Al Musallam expressed full parliamentary solidarity with the UAE and Jordan. He also voiced support for all measures taken by the two countries to safeguard their sovereignty and security and protect their citizens and residents.
