Kuwait and Pakistan Forge Defence and Military Cooperation Agreement

Manama: Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah, Minister of Defence of the State of Kuwait, and Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister of Defence of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, signed a joint defence and military cooperation agreement in Islamabad.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the two ministers reviewed bilateral relations and prospects for strengthening military and defence cooperation. They also discussed the latest regional and international developments, issues of common interest, and efforts to support regional security and stability and strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence said the agreement represents an important step in military and defence cooperation between Kuwait and Pakistan. It provides a framework for strengthening operational coordination, exchanging expertise, and enhancing readiness and integration between the armed forces in support of shared interests and regional security and stability.
