Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Al Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, announced the successful completion of the 15th edition of Youth City 2030, which delivered significant outcomes, including 343 training programs that provided over 15,000 training opportunities to 10,547 participants.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the edition was bolstered by 208 partnerships, comprising 190 local and 18 international collaborations, alongside more than 250 events that engaged 374 volunteers. The Youth Market featured 96 projects, while the city's initiatives helped uncover 691 young talents and drew more than 7,000 visitors.
Minister Al Tawfeeqi emphasized that these accomplishments underscore the importance of Youth City 2030 as a key national platform for developing the skills, talents, and practical knowledge of young individuals. She acknowledged the support from prominent figures, including His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa; His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister; His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS); His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee; and His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).
The Youth Minister highlighted that the success of the 15th edition was fueled by the synergy between national institutions, partners, and sponsors, which facilitated the expansion of programs and opportunities tailored to young people's aspirations and future requirements. She expressed optimism about further developments in upcoming editions, such as increasing the number of programs and training opportunities and enhancing local and international collaborations.
Minister Al Tawfeeqi also remarked that the impact of Youth City 2030 extends beyond its numerical achievements, fostering the development of young people's skills and talents and aiding in the conversion of ideas into projects and opportunities for success.
