Manama: Counsellor Abdulla Isa Al Doseri, Acting Head of the International Cooperation and Human Rights Office, chaired the 19th meeting of officials responsible for implementing joint cooperation rules among public prosecutions and public prosecution offices in Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The meeting was held via videoconference.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting discussed several items on its agenda, primarily focusing on completing the review of the unified international cooperation forms previously considered by the committee at its 18th meeting. Discussions included views and proposals on developing the information and procedures contained in these forms based on practical experience. The objective is to meet the requirements of judicial cooperation requests more effectively, facilitate their implementation, reduce the need for additional information and data, and enhance the speed and effectiveness of cooperation between the Public Prosecutions and Public Prosecutors of GCC states.
Al Doseri highlighted the importance of continuing to develop judicial cooperation tools and mechanisms between the Public Prosecutions and Public Prosecutors of GCC states. He emphasized drawing on practical experience to update the forms and procedures governing this cooperation. This approach aims to ensure faster and more efficient processing of requests, improve coordination and cooperation between the Public Prosecutions and Public Prosecutors of GCC states, and keep pace with legal developments, thus contributing to more efficient and effective judicial cooperation between them.
