HM King’s Speech Highlights GCC Success in Joint Defence Cooperation

Manama: Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, stated that the speech delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa during the Bahrain Shield joint military exercise underscored the Gulf Cooperation Council's success in establishing a leading model of cooperation across all domains, particularly in enhancing collective security through joint deterrence programmes.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Noaimi praised His Majesty the King's speech for emphasizing the contribution of the Prophet Muhammad's message to the Persian nation's spiritual, human, and intellectual heritage, as well as the religious ties that unite the Islamic nation and the values of coexistence and respect for good neighbourly commitments.

The Information Minister further noted that His Majesty's emphasis on the Bahrain Shield exercise as a practical extension of GCC efforts to strengthen collective security and defence integration reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to enhancing the readiness of GCC armed forces, developing their defence capabilities, and improving operational coordination to support joint deterrence and defence.

He mentioned that the speech reaffirmed the GCC's core principles of shared goals and destiny, and reinforced the belief that the ties between member states will continue to advance cooperation, strengthen stability, and enhance joint Gulf action with confidence and capability.
