Egyptian Cabinet Identifies Drone Attack as Cause of Damietta Port Vessel Fire

The cabinet of the arab republic of egypt: Preliminary investigations have found that the fire which broke out aboard two vessels at Damietta Port on July 29 was caused by a drone.

According to Bahrain News Agency, in a statement, the Cabinet said that following the successful containment of the fire, the relevant authorities conducted initial investigations into the incident, which indicated that a drone was responsible. It added that no party had claimed responsibility for the attack, according to the Middle East News Agency (MENA).

The competent authorities are continuing their investigations to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident and to take the necessary measures to safeguard Egypt's interests and national security.
