National Guard Commander Meets With Pakistan Army Vice Chief of General Staff

Manama: General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, received Major General Ali Iqbal, Vice Chief of General Staff of the Pakistan Army, during his official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Brigadier Staff Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Training. The discussions underscored the longstanding and distinguished relations between Bahrain and Pakistan, with a focus on the continued growth of bilateral cooperation, particularly in military affairs.

The meeting reviewed various aspects of military cooperation and coordination between the National Guard and the Pakistan Army. Discussions included exploring ways to expand the exchange of expertise and training programs, with the aim to enhance capabilities, strengthen operational readiness, and further shared interests.

Major General Ali Iqbal expressed admiration for the National Guard's high level of professionalism and operational readiness. He also acknowledged the steady progress in military cooperation between the two nations, highlighting the positive trajectory of their defense relations.
