Doha: Mohammed bin Ali Al Ghatam, Ambassador to the State of Qatar, extended his deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, the Al Thani family, and the people of Qatar on the passing of the Father Amir His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Al Ghatam stated that Qatar has lost a leader whose name is closely tied to significant milestones in the country's modern history. He highlighted that the late Father Amir led a national transformation that bolstered Qatar's development and enhanced its regional and international stature.
He emphasized that Father Amir's legacy will endure through Qatar's achievements in various fields, including economic development, education, scientific research, sports, and culture, demonstrating his contributions to the nation's progress.
The Ambassador also acknowledged the late Father Amir's role in strengthening the relationship between Bahrain and Qatar and his efforts in advancing Gulf cooperation and integration via the Gulf Cooperation Council. This was driven by his belief in the shared destiny of its member states.
He also praised Father Amir's contributions to Arab and Islamic causes and his dedication to fostering solidarity and cooperation for regional security, stability, and development.
