Doha: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in the State of Qatar to offer condolences to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, following the passing of His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. HM the King was received upon arrival by Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani, Minister of Transport; and Mohamed bin Ali Al Ghatam, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the State of Qatar.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit underscores the strong ties between the two nations. His Majesty's gesture of personal condolence is a testament to the longstanding relationship and mutual respect shared between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Qatar, further highlighting the deep connections within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
