Geneva: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He said the continued attacks reflect an unacceptable escalatory approach and constitute a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of states, international law, and the Charter of the United Nations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Albudaiwi stressed that the attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security and undermine international efforts to promote stability and reduce tensions. He called for a firm international stance to end what he described as irresponsible Iranian practices and ensure respect for the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their internal affairs.
He also reaffirmed the GCC's full solidarity with Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, and its support for all measures taken to safeguard their security and territorial sovereignty.
