Manama: Mohammed Al Muharraqi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tarteeb for Events and Marketing, announced the opening of registration for the Summer Sports City programmes, a new flagship feature of the 15th edition of Youth City 2030. This initiative offers an expanded programme of sports and recreational activities aimed at engaging different age groups in Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the initiative is the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Youth Affairs, strategic partner the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), the General Sports Authority, the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, and Winners Football Club. These collaborations aim to deliver a comprehensive sports destination for all age groups.
The Summer Sports City is scheduled to run from July 12 to August 20, 2026, at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre. The programmes are designed for children, youth, and adults and will include tournaments, interactive activities, and family entertainment.
Al Muharraqi emphasized that the project supports efforts to promote sport, healthy lifestyles, and community participation. It also aims to reinforce Bahrain's position as a destination for high-quality youth and sporting events. Registration for the programmes will remain open until all places are filled, and interested participants can sign up through www.sportscity.net.
