Cairo: A delegation from the Council of Representatives, led by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council, will be participating in the 8th conference of the Arab Parliament and Arab parliamentary speakers, held in cooperation with the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) in Egypt, on Saturday.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation includes First Deputy Speaker Ahmed Abdulwahid Qarata, MP Mohammed Salman Al Ahmadi, MP Dr. Hisham Al Aseeri, and MP Mohsen Al Asboul. The conference will discuss draft resolutions on forming a unified Arab parliamentary position on violations of the sovereignty and security of Arab states, addressing Israeli policies targeting the Palestinian cause, and enhancing Arab parliamentary support for Palestinian rights.
The conference will also consider a parliamentary vision on Arab digital sovereignty and the protection of national privacy in the era of digital transformation. It will conclude with a final statement and the adoption of outcomes to be submitted to Arab leaders at the forthcoming Arab Summit.
