Oil Minister and UNDP Representative Discuss Environmental Collaboration in Bahrain

Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Dainah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, recently welcomed Asmaa Shalabi, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting was also attended by Amna Al Rumaihi, Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE).

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Bin Dainah highlighted Bahrain's dedication to maintaining a strong partnership with the United Nations and its specialized agencies. He emphasized the importance of promoting environmental sustainability and the efficient use of natural resources, noting the significant role UNDP plays in supporting Bahrain's development initiatives.

The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in environmental and sustainable development fields, aligning with the Kingdom's goals for diversified and inclusive growth. Both parties expressed their commitment to advancing shared objectives.

Asmaa Shalabi praised Bahrain's proactive measures and initiatives in climate action and environmental protection. She reiterated UNDP's dedication to strengthening collaborative efforts to achieve common goals.
