Manama: Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police and Chairman of the Royal Academy of Police Scientific Council, chaired the Scientific Council meeting. The meeting was attended by Major-General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Police, and Major-General Fawaz Hassan Al Hassan, Royal Academy of Police Commandant.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Lt. Gen. Al Hassan highlighted the Royal Academy of Police's significant role in enhancing the security work system through its educational and training programmes. He emphasized the importance of focusing on the quality of educational and training outputs across various directorates, aligning with the demands of modern security work.
He affirmed that developing academic and training programmes is crucial in preparing qualified security personnel. These personnel need to be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to adapt to rapid security developments and challenges. Lt. Gen. Al Hassan also stressed the importance of utilizing modern technologies and best educational practices to improve institutional performance and efficiency, thereby achieving the desired objectives.
The council discussed the latest developments in doctoral programmes and reviewed relevant recommendations. Challenges associated with implementing the distance learning system at the academy were also examined, along with proposals and recommendations aimed at enhancing its efficiency.
Additionally, the council reviewed the graduation of the 14th batch of officers from the diploma programme and received a briefing on key activities and events undertaken by the Royal Academy of Police from January 14 to April 30. The meeting concluded with discussions on recommendations related to the agenda items, focusing on developing the academy's educational and training processes and improving its outputs.
