Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, received Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The chairman commended the diplomatic efforts of Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah and his notable contributions to strengthening the historical ties between the two countries, which continue to develop under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh highlighted the progress and growing cooperation witnessed in bilateral ties, stressing the importance of continuing to strengthen partnership, joint action and coordination in a manner that serves the interests of the two Kingdoms and their peoples. He said that Bahraini-Jordanian relations represent a well-established model of Arab relations, founded on solid principles of understanding, mutual respect, continuous coordination, and strategic and developmental partnerships.
He affirmed the keenness to continue developing parliamentary cooperation and exchanging expertise and experiences between the Shura Council and Jordan's Senate and House of Representatives, that supports parliamentary work and enhances the path of bilateral cooperation between the two Kingdoms. For his part, Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah affirmed his commitment to continuing efforts that contribute to strengthening Bahraini-Jordanian ties and building on the joint achievements realised by the two Kingdoms.
