Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, recently welcomed Faisal Akef Al Fayez, President of the Jordanian Senate, highlighting the enduring relationship and strategic coordination between Bahrain and Jordan. Al Saleh emphasized the unified stance of both nations on regional challenges and their shared commitment to regional security and stability.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh noted the ongoing support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, which strengthens bilateral cooperation and the distinguished fraternal ties between the two countries. The chairman praised the consistent exchange of visits and meetings between the leaderships, reflecting their mutual enthusiasm to advance strategic cooperation across multiple sectors.
Al Saleh reaffirmed Bahrain's dedication to supporting security, stability, and joint Arab cooperation under the leadership of His Majesty the King and with the backing of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He strongly condemned the aggressive actions by Iran against the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Jordan, identifying them as violations of international laws and threats to regional stability.
The Chairman also highlighted that the Bahraini-Jordanian relations are expanding across various sectors, such as political, economic, trade, and cultural, backed by the leaderships' commitment to enhancing bilateral partnerships for mutual benefits. He emphasized the need for continued strategic coordination and consultation to address regional and international issues.
Al Saleh underlined the strong parliamentary ties between the Shura Council and the Jordanian Senate, stressing the importance of exchanging legislative expertise and strengthening parliamentary cooperation in support of common interests and joint Arab initiatives.
Faisal Akef Al Fayez expressed Jordan's pride in its longstanding relations with Bahrain and recognized the strategic partnerships across different sectors. He reiterated Jordan's support for Bahrain's security measures and condemned Iranian attacks against GCC countries and Jordan. Al Fayez praised the efforts of Bahrain's security authorities in addressing threats linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Al Fayez emphasized that the Bahraini-Jordanian ties serve as an advanced model of Arab relations, focusing on mutual respect and shared visions. He called for expanding bilateral partnerships and enhancing strategic cooperation to achieve greater development and stability.
