Works Ministry Receives GCC Recognition from GCC Commercial Arbitration Centre

Manama: The Ministry of Works has been honoured by the Commercial Arbitration Centre of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States, in recognition of its role and contributions in supporting the Centre's efforts and advancing its mission to promote the culture of arbitration and the settlement of commercial disputes in line with regionally and internationally recognised best practices.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the recognition was presented during the Centre's inauguration ceremony, attended by Jassim Mohammed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC. The award was received on behalf of the ministry by Khawla Khalid Hayat, Director of the Cost Engineering Directorate at the ministry.

The ministry said that this recognition reflects the importance of institutional partnership and integration between official bodies and specialised centres at the GCC level, and underscores the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen regional cooperation and contribute to sustainable development pathways.

It affirmed its continued support for initiatives and programmes that enhance institutional performance and foster a favourable investment environment, in line with national directions aimed at reinforcing joint GCC action and achieving legal and institutional stability within the business environment.
