Deputy Prime Minister Meets Kuwaiti Foreign Minister to Strengthen Historic Relations

Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, recently met with Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, to discuss the longstanding and strategic partnership between Bahrain and Kuwait. The meeting, which took place in the presence of Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, Salah Ali Al Malki, the Ambassador of Bahrain to Kuwait, and Yousef Al Banwan, Charg© d'Affaires of the Kuwaiti Embassy to Bahrain, underscored the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah emphasized that the Bahrain-Kuwait relationship is guided by the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah. He described the relationship as a model partnership, highlighting the mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation and strengthening joint GCC initiatives. Furthermore, Shaikh Khalid praised Kuwait's consistent support and leadership in strategic infrastructure projects through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED).

The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the significant role played by the Joint Higher Committee between Bahrain and Kuwait in fostering cooperation across various sectors, including political, economic, investment, and administrative fields. He expressed his wishes for the committee's success in its current session hosted by Bahrain.

In response, Minister Al Yahya lauded Bahrain's ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral relations and expressed his wishes for the Kingdom's continued progress and prosperity.
