Bahrain’s Diplomatic and Development Engagements Highlighted in Recent Activities

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on events that happened over the past 24 hours.

According to Bahrain News Agency, several key diplomatic and development activities have taken place, underscoring Bahrain's active engagement on various fronts.

HM King received the Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities, marking a significant diplomatic engagement. Additionally, the King accepted the credentials of newly appointed ambassadors to Bahrain, strengthening the nation's international relationships. In a gesture of goodwill, HM King extended congratulations to the Sultan of Brunei on successful surgery, with HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also offering their congratulations.

In the field of entrepreneurship, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad attended a ceremony announcing Manama as the Capital of Young Arab Entrepreneurs. This event highlights Bahrain's commitment to fostering youth entrepreneurship and innovation.

Regional cooperation was further emphasized with HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's and UAE Pavilions at the 2026 World Economic Forum. In cultural affairs, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa inaugurated the exhibition "His Legacy and Biography," dedicated to HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.

On the diplomatic front, the Commander-in-Chief received Turkish and German ambassadors, reflecting Bahrain's ongoing efforts to maintain strong bilateral relations. The Kingdom also called for intensified efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire in Sudan, showcasing its commitment to regional peace and stability.

In a show of solidarity, Bahrain extended condolences to Pakistan over the victims of a mall fire. Domestically, the Deputy Prime Minister inaugurated the largest power transmission station in the national grid's history, marking a milestone in Bahrain's infrastructure development.

Further diplomatic engagements included the Interior Minister receiving his Lebanese counterpart, the Foreign Minister meeting with the Japanese Ambassador, and the Environment Minister receiving the Sri Lankan Ambassador. The Foreign Ministry also announced HM King's acceptance of an invitation from the US President to join the Board of Peace.

Bahrain's regional influence was highlighted at the Asian Parliamentary Assembly meeting, where the Speaker emphasized Bahrain's standing. Additionally, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Chairman met with the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, and Bahrain chaired the first 2026 meeting of GCC justice ministries' international cooperation officials.
