HRH Princess Sabeeka Applauds HM King’s Designation of 2026 as “Year of Isa Al Kabeer”

Manama: Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), commended His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Royal Order to designate 2026 as the "Year of Isa Al Kabeer". This decision honors His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, known as "Isa Al Kabeer", who was instrumental in founding the modern state and leading Bahrain's institutional development.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim emphasized that the royal initiative embodies the values of loyalty and pride in Bahrain's heritage. It celebrates the legacy of a leader who laid the groundwork for administrative, judicial, and educational institutions, marking a transformative era in the formation of Bahrain's national identity and civil institutions.

HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim highlighted that the "Isa Al Kabeer" designation serves as a significant educational and national message for future generations. It commemorates the dedication and service of the founding leader and strengthens the sense of national identity and pride in Bahrain's ongoing development under the leadership of His Majesty the King.

HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim also pointed out the royal initiative's emphasis on the city of Muharraq, including the development of Isa Al Kabeer Palace and its surrounding areas. She stated that these efforts reflect His Majesty the King's commitment to preserving Bahrain's national heritage and historical identity, while honoring the milestones that marked the beginning of institutional work and comprehensive national development.

HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim expressed pride in the royal initiative and wished for the continued prosperity and progress of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
