Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received an invitation from Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the State of Kuwait, to visit Kuwait in the coming period. The invitation was delivered by Commodore Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al Sabah, Director-General of the Coast Guard at Kuwait's Ministry of Interior. Lieutenant General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa was also present during the meeting.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah commended the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and highlighted the importance of security cooperation and coordination. He emphasized the significance of strengthening the exchange of expertise and best practices to safeguard security and enhance stability. The Minister also stressed the importance of reinforcing joint efforts between the coast guard entities of the two countries to enhance security and protect maritime safety.
During the meeting, several issues and approaches to enhancing cooperation, coordination, and the development of joint working mechanisms were discussed. The discussions aimed at exploring ways to bolster the partnership between the two nations, focusing on mutual interests and regional security concerns.
