Ambassador to Tunisia Attends AI Forward Summit 2025

Tunis: Abdulaziz Mohammed Abdullah Al Eid, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Tunisia, represented Bahrain at the AI Forward Summit 2025, held under the theme "From Information Society towards Intelligence Society" at the Congress Palace in Tunis. The summit aimed to enhance the role of the Arab world in shaping the global future of artificial intelligence, focusing on building a sustainable and responsible system centered around knowledge exchange, coordinated efforts, and developing shared policies and regulations for the safe use of AI.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was based on the Arab AI Initiative and addressed the necessity of keeping pace with global digital transformations. The meeting issued a declaration reviewing 20 years of achievements of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). It called for multilateral cooperation to reduce the digital divide, support regional initiatives to foster innovation, empower youth, and create knowledge exchange platforms in the Arab region. Additionally, it emphasized ensuring that digital and automated transformations are ethical and directed towards sustainable development.
