Manama: Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), today announced the promotion of five Bahraini professionals to senior leadership roles within its Safety Management System (SMS) and aviation security functions.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this strategic elevation underscores BAC's commitment to cultivating national talent for sustained operational leadership. By prioritising internal development and succession planning, BAC is positioning BIA as a global benchmark for safety, security, and performance in aviation.
The promoted leaders are Mohamed Yousif Al Sayed, Vice President of Airport Emergency Services and Health, Safety and Environment; Naser Mohamed Al Mannaie, Director of Airport Operations Center (APOC), Airside Operations and Wildlife Management; Ali Adel Al Aseeri, Director of Aerodrome Safety and Compliance; Ahmed Hasan Maiko, Manager of Security Quality Control and Compliance; and Talal Abdulla Kamal, Manager of Security Operations and Training.
Ahmed Mohamed Janahi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Airport Company, stated that empowering Bahraini professionals to take on leadership roles is key to advancing Bahrain International Airport toward more connected, efficient, and secure operations. He highlighted the resilience and innovation of these professionals as essential to the airport's future growth.
Mohamed Mazen Matar, Group Chief People Officer of Gulf Air Group, said the promotions demonstrate the company's continued investment in Bahraini expertise as a foundation of aviation excellence.
