HM King of Bahrain Welcomes Malaysian King Sultan Ibrahim at Sakhir Palace


Sakhir palace: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, alongside His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received His Majesty King Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar of Malaysia during his official state visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting commenced with a discussion between the two monarchs, focusing on the longstanding historical relations between Bahrain and Malaysia. Their Majesties explored avenues to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, emphasizing a shared commitment to expanding collaboration across various sectors to promote mutual interests.



An expanded session of talks followed the initial meeting, involving senior officials from both sides. His Majesty King Hamad addressed the gathering, expressing his pleasure in welcoming the Malaysian King and highlighting the shared values and interests that bind the two nations. He underscored the importance of peace, tolerance, and inclusivity, as well as the mutual commitment to resolving conflicts in the Middle East through peaceful means.



King Sultan Ibrahim reciprocated by expressing gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality. He acknowledged the deep-rooted ties between Bahrain and Malaysia and emphasized the potential for further economic cooperation, aligned with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. He expressed confidence in the potential for expanded collaboration under the leadership of King Hamad.



The visit concluded with a dinner banquet hosted by King Hamad in honor of King Sultan Ibrahim and his delegation, attended by senior officials from both countries. The national anthems of Bahrain and Malaysia were played during the ceremony, symbolizing the strong bond between the two nations.
