Manama: Bahrain's Teqball national team kicked off its campaign at the 3rd Asian Youth Games, hosted by Bahrain until October 31, with two consecutive victories in the women's doubles event, showcasing the team's strong readiness and competitive spirit. Rawan Abdulaziz and Fatima Al Banna, Bahrain's duo, secured a straight-sets win in their opening match against the Philippines, before continuing their impressive form with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over India.
According to Bahrain News Agency, in the men's doubles competition, Hussein Isa and Ali Hasan lost to the Philippines in straight sets in their opening Group A match. The pair also lost by the same score line to Thailand, India, Egypt, and Cambodia.
