Manama: Bahrain All Share Index has closed at 1,960.93 points, marking a decrease of 2.61 points below the previous closing. This decline was primarily attributed to a drop in the consumer discretionary and financial sectors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Bahrain Islamic Index also saw a decrease, closing at 860.92 points, which is 5.19 points lower than the previous closing. The trading session recorded 86 equity transactions with a volume of 3,995,735, amounting to a value of BD 983,290.
Investors focused mainly on the financial sector, which represented 62.02% of the total value of securities traded. This significant concentration in the financial sector highlights its impact on the overall market performance.
