Bidding Opens for Multi-Storey Factory Project at Salman Industrial City

Hidd:The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has initiated a bidding process for a multi-storey factory project at Salman Industrial City, coinciding with the Made in GCC 2026 Forum and Exhibition.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the project is designed to optimize the use of industrial land by offering adaptable industrial spaces to assist entrepreneurs and small to medium-sized industrial enterprises. Located within the Bahrain International Investment Park in Salman Industrial City, the site spans 6,700 square meters, with a building footprint of 2,680 square meters and a total floor area of about 10,720 square meters.

The bidding will focus on the rental value proposed for the project land. The successful bidder will sign a lease with the Ministry and will be tasked with developing the land, constructing and operating the factory complex, and leasing out industrial units to entrepreneurs and SMEs, in line with applicable regulations.

This project emphasizes vertical expansion to maximize land efficiency, providing flexible spaces suitable for small and medium industries that do not need large land areas. Mohammed Khalid Noor, Director of Industrial Areas at the Ministry, stated that the project aims to improve land use while offering more flexible options for business growth. It introduces a modern infrastructure model that lowers entry barriers into the industrial sector and fosters a conducive environment for SME growth.

The initiative is part of the ministry's broader strategy to develop sustainable industrial infrastructure, support SME growth, and offer entrepreneurs opportunities to innovate and expand their businesses. The announcement also underscores the importance of infrastructure development to support emerging industries in Bahrain, enabling them to reach Gulf and regional markets.

Interested companies and investors are encouraged to review project details and submit bids via the Tender Board's electronic platform. The bidding deadline is Wednesday, December 23.
