Youth Affairs Minister Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi met with the Foreign Affairs Ministry Organizations Section Acting Head Hamad Waheed Sayyar.
The meeting discussed ways to promote the King Hamad Youth Empowerment Award to achieve sustainable development goals in various international forums in the youth sector and demonstrate the Kingdom’s pioneering role in achieving international objectives.
The minister stressed the achievements made by the King Hamad Youth Empowerment Award to achieve sustainable development goals.
The award is considered the first of its kind globally and represents the belief of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in the youth to lead the world towards a better future of peace and prosperity.
Tawfiqi stressed the award’s international role in the youth and sustainable development field.
“The cooperation between the two ministries seeks to enhance the award’s achievements by promoting it in various international forums and meetings while ensuring the participation of various countries, youth groups, institutions, and civil organizations in the award’s next edition,” the minister said.
A total of 6,176 individuals participated in the award and youth-supporting institutions presenting their work and projects and represented 122 countries.
