Youth Assistant Undersecretary Attends Closing Ceremony of Model United Nations Programme

Riyadh: Nani Mohammed Butti, Assistant Undersecretary for Support and Initiatives at the Ministry of Youth Affairs, attended the closing ceremony of the Model United Nations (MUN) programme organised by the North Sehla Youth Empowerment Centre. During the event, Butti honoured participants and winners, affirming the ministry's commitment to supporting initiatives that equip young people with leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. She commended the programme's outcomes and its role in empowering youth and fostering active engagement with global issues.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the programme was held over two days, providing participants with a simulated United Nations experience. This experience enabled them to debate contemporary international challenges and gain practical insight into diplomacy, negotiation, and policymaking.

Speakers at the closing ceremony, including representatives from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the organising committee, highlighted the importance of such initiatives in preparing young people to engage with global developments and contribute effectively to the future. They also praised the participants' strong performance and the programme's success in developing leadership and diplomatic competencies among Bahraini youth.
