Manama: Youth Affairs Minister Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi held a meeting with Felipe Paullier, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, on the sidelines of the Hope Network Exhibition event, which will be hosted in Bahrain from November 4-6.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister emphasized the significance of the UN’s participation in Hope Network, reflecting Bahrain’s commitment to its national and international responsibilities towards youth. She highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the UN in youth development areas, aiming to launch joint initiatives and build on past successes to sustain youth achievements.
Paullier commended Bahrain’s youth initiatives, recognizing the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting and empowering youth globally. He praised the Hope Network as a noble initiative that will create an international platform for youth engagement. Paullier affirmed the UN’s dedication, through its youth-focused agencies, to collab
orating with Bahrain’s Ministry of Youth Affairs.
The meeting also discussed potential avenues for joint initiatives and the launch of collaborative youth programmes between the Ministry and the UN.
