Manama: Vatel Bahrain organised a workshop for students from St. Christopher's School enrolled in the BTEC Travel and Tourism pathway. The workshop, held in collaboration with M¶venpick Hotel Bahrain, aimed to raise students' awareness of higher education options in the hospitality sector and the academic and career opportunities available.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the session highlighted Vatel Bahrain's bachelor's degree in international Hotel Management as an ideal path for students wishing to continue their studies in the same discipline and advance their academic and professional journey in tourism, hospitality, and hotel management.
The college's team outlined the programme and its prospects within local, regional, and international hospitality markets. The degree includes practical training in four-star and five-star hotels in Bahrain and abroad, providing students with global professional experience to prepare them for the job market.
Students were introduced to key hospitality skills, career pathways, and professional growth opportunities. The workshop also addressed students' interest in pursuing university studies in Bahrain while gaining international experience, which Vatel Bahrain offers through global internship placements alongside academic studies in the Kingdom.
Shaikh Khaled bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, General Director of Vatel Bahrain, said the initiative reflects the college's aim to develop a new generation of youth ready to excel in the hospitality sector locally, regionally, and globally. He added that supporting students in their academic and professional development helps broaden their perspectives and enables informed decisions based on practical insight.
He noted that the college remains committed to collaborating with educational institutions and organising open days and introductory sessions to showcase opportunities at Vatel Bahrain. These efforts highlight the benefits for students, including a stimulating learning environment, international-standard training, and strong prospects for high-quality employment for all graduates.
