UAE to host 3rd Aviation and Alternative Fuels Conference

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host third edition of the conference on aviation and alternative fuels related to the environment and clean energy file, which is held every seven years,

The decision was endorsed unanimously during the session of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization “ICAO”, which was held recently at the organization’s headquarters in Montreal – Canada. The decision came unanimously by all the member states of the Council.

“The country’s hosting of the Conference on Aviation and Alternative Fuels coincides with its preparations to host the twenty-eighth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (28COP)”, said Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri.

He stressed the importance of the event as global platform to achieve a set of combined goals, particularly the facilitation of the global transition to a green economy, achievement sustainability, economic diversification and spurring growth.
